Henley Royal Regatta
Henley on Thames, England

The Henley Royal Regatta was established in 1839 and predates national or international rowing organizations. Therefore the regatta follows its own rules and is not under the jurisdiction of British Rowing or FISA; however, it is officially recognized by both organizations. The regatta races two boats at a time; the losing boat gets knocked out of the competition as the winning boat moves forward. The Henley hosts 19 events over 5 days, holding over 90 races.
Rowing World Cup III

The Rowing World Cup III is the third regatta of three that compose The Rowing World Cup. The regattas are held throughout early summer each year. Participating countries are awarded points for each event they win. After the three regattas are completed, those points are tallied to determine the winning country. The Rowing World Cup has only been held outside of Europe once.

The games are similar to the Olympics; however, some sports are hosted at the Pan American Games but are not hosted at the Olympics, such as bowling.
The Head Of The Charles Regatta

The Head Of The Charles Regatta is the world’s largest regatta. It is a two-day event, attracting up to 300,000 spectators along the Charles River in October each year. More than 8,000 athletes from different countries participate in 55 racing events.
